About me

Hi, I’m Rhythm Agrawal, a Counselling Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapy Trainee (Level 5). I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and have worked across therapy, mental health education, workshops, and various psychology-focused spaces. My work is largely centred around adolescents, young adults and adults.

Somewhere along the way, psychology stopped being just something I studied and became the lens through which I make sense of a lot of things - conversations, relationships, emotions, behaviour, and all the little things that make us who we are.

I’ve always been curious about what sits underneath the obvious. The patterns we fall into, the things we carry without really noticing, and the ways our experiences shape how we move through the world.

That curiosity eventually became a career- one that has taken me through therapy rooms, classrooms, workshops, community spaces and plenty of conversations in between.

The name

Why EmoBroth?

There’s a reason I called this EmoBroth.

I’ve always loved broths or soups. There’s something about putting a bunch of different ingredients together and watching them slowly come together into one thing. Each ingredient has its own flavour, but it’s the balance between them that makes it work.

Sometimes, you need a little more of one ingredient and a little less of another. Sometimes one flavour takes over. Sometimes everything comes together just right.

That’s what made me think of us.

We’re made up of many different emotions, feelings, experiences, thoughts and parts of ourselves. They don’t always show up in equal measure, and they don’t always sit neatly together. Sometimes one takes up more space than the others. Sometimes we need to find a different balance.

And just like a good broth, it’s all those different ingredients coming together that make us who we are.

“Emo”/ “Emotions” is for that inner world.

“Broth” is for the layers, the mix, the balance, and of course, my love for soup.

EmoBroth is a space to explore all of those layers through therapy - warmly, curiously, and without needing to simplify what makes us human.

Working together

What the process looks like

Imagine sitting across a table with a map spread out between us.

It’s a map of everything that has shaped you, one that has been shaped by everything you’ve experienced so far. Where you’ve been, what you’ve carried, the routes you’ve taken, and the ones you’re still trying to understand.

You bring the map because you’ve lived the experiences. I bring my training, my perspective, and myself into the room. We look at the map together, with genuine curiosity about what we might notice and understand along the way.

We might trace familiar routes, stop at places that feel difficult, or notice connections between things that once seemed unrelated. The way we make sense of those things is something we arrive at together, through the conversation and relationship we build along the way.

We don’t have to figure it all out in one sitting.

Some things take time to understand. Some patterns only become visible after we’ve looked at them more than once. Sometimes we need to sit with something before knowing where to go next.

Therapy isn’t about giving you directions or fixing what feels wrong.

It’s about making sense of where you are, understanding how you got there, and exploring what you might want to do differently from here.

And importantly, neither of us does that work alone.

You bring your experiences, thoughts and perspective. I bring my training, what I notice, and the relationship we build together.

You know the landscape. I bring the lens. We make sense of the map together.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Clinical hypnotherapy is a guided therapeutic approach that uses focused attention, relaxation, and therapeutic suggestion to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and patterns that may be difficult to access through ordinary conscious awareness.

Hypnosis does not mean losing control or being unconscious. You remain aware throughout the process and can communicate, respond, and choose whether or not to engage with a suggestion.

Hypnotherapy can be used as a complementary approach alongside psychological therapy, depending on the individual's needs and the goals of the therapeutic work.

My Training & Certification

I am currently a Clinical Hypnotherapy Trainee (Level 5) and am in the process of completing my clinical hypnotherapy training and certification from EKAA institute of integrated clinical hypnotherapy.

My training has included theoretical learning, practical training, demonstrations, and supervised practice across a range of hypnotherapy techniques and approaches.

I believe in being transparent about my professional training and qualifications. At this stage, I am a trainee completing my certification and do not represent myself as a fully certified clinical hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy is offered within the scope of my current training and experience and is incorporated thoughtfully alongside my psychological work when appropriate.

Approaches Explored in My Training

As part of my clinical hypnotherapy training, I have been trained in and exposed to a range of techniques and approaches, including:

  • Past Life Regression
  • Age Regression
  • Inner Child healing
